2014 Arbor Day Poster Contest
"Trees are...Alive!"

The West Virginia Division of Forestry and the Urban and Community Forestry Council call on fourth- and fifth-grade teachers to showcase their students' artistic talents by participating in the 2014 West Virginia Arbor Day Poster Contest. This year's theme is "Trees are…Alive!

A state winner will be selected for both fourth grade and fifth grade categories. Each state winner will receive a $50 cash prize from the West Virginia Forestry Association. In addition, an award ceremony will be held at their schools and a tree will be planted in their honor.

Entry deadline is March 1, 2014.

2013 Award-winning Artwork

Fourth-grade student Blake Stauffer and fifth-grader Zachariah Flohr won the 2013 West Virginia Arbor Day Poster Contest. The theme, Trees are...Energy Savers!, reinforced the idea that trees are an important part of our environment and provide much-needed shade, especially in urban areas. Congratulations, Zachariah and Blake!
